Obi\u010dno se tako prikazuje Krampus, bi\u0107e koje nosi lance i njima udara o pod. Kada se na to doda snop \u0161tapova od breze, namenjenih za \u0161ibanje nevaljale dece, Krampus zaista predstavlja dramati\u010dnu pojavu glavnog antiheroja u bo\u017ei\u0107nim danima u Austriji, Nema\u010dkoj, Bavarskoj, nekim delovima Ma\u0111arske i Hrvatske.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ova zastra\u0161uju\u0107a figura opisuje se kao lik koji je suprotan Deda Mrazu i ka\u017enjava decu koja nisu bila dobra u toku godine. Za razliku od \u010duvenog Deda Mraza koji za ovaj praznik donosi poklone dobroj deci, Krampus je simbol kazne za lo\u0161a dela. On tu\u010de nevaljalu decu i odvodi ih u svoju jazbinu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poreklo ovog mitskog bi\u0107a datira jo\u0161 od vremena germanskog paganizma. Njegovo ime je izvedeno od nema\u010dke re\u010di koja zna\u010di kand\u017ea, a tako\u0111e se smatra sinom nordijske boginje podzemlja Hele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Krampus je deo nekoliko vekova stare bo\u017ei\u0107ne tradicije u Nema\u010dkoj, gde proslava Bo\u017ei\u0107a po\u010dinje jo\u0161 po\u010detkom decembra. Prema legendi, Krampus se pojavljuje u gradovima no\u0107 pre \u0161estog decembra, koja je poznatija kao Krampusnacht ili No\u0107 Krampusa. \u0160esti decembar je dan koji je poznat kao Nikolaustag ili Dan Svetog Nikole. To je dan kada deca u Nema\u010dkoj otvaraju svoja vrata da vide da li se u cipeli ili \u010dizmi koju su ostavili prethodne no\u0107i nalaze pokloni (nagrada za lepo pona\u0161anje) ili prut (kazna za lo\u0161e pona\u0161anje).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u0160irom Austrije se svake godine organizuju parade i festivali \u010dija je Krampus centralna figura. Jedna od najpoznatijih parada je Krampusova parada ili Klaubaufe u Lijencu. Na ovoj paradi mladi\u0107i se maskiraju u Krampusa i \u0161etaju ulicama. Oni obi\u010dno nose izrezbarene drvene maske i odela od krzna, a lancima, zvonima, metalom ili drugim predmetima prave buku.
